THE KITSUNE OMOI bundle contains all three versions of the pattern, Jumper, Scoop Cardigan, and V Neck cardigan. All three are colour work knit from the top down.

The jumper has a classic, easy, unisex fit, with a circular yoke and minimal finishing. There are two options for the neck collar height, and options given for shaping the stockinette body, with the hem stopping at the high hip. Outside of the frequent colour changes, this is a relaxed knit. This version of the pattern is suited from advanced beginner onwards.

The scoop cardigan is a steeked with a circular colourwork yoke. The front buttonbands feature a tidy self- faced steek edge (using a modified version of the TechKnitter method). The button band then serves double duty by fastening down the interior facings, and anchoring the steek. The body can be worked straight from the bust with no shaping, and options are included for different types of shaping should you wish to do that.

This version is a more adjusted fit, in comparison to the jumper and v neck cardigan versions. The hem falls above the high waist.

The V neck version is a hybrid raglan and circular yoke construction knit from the top down in the round, with a steep v neckline, then steeked. As in thethe original version, the steek once cut, folds back to be cleverly tucked away behind knit-on facings. The body is worked straight from the bust with no shaping, but to keep things interesting there are inset welt pockets, knit in-line with the body by means of double knitting. The welts are knit first and used to start the double knitting section, and are later sewn down along the edges. While this is not a difficult knit, this version would be better suited to an intermediate knitter or an intrepid advanced beginner.

In all three patterns the yarn is held double throughout; the seamless colour changes are made by marling, ie changing the colours of the held-together strands on each row.
